About Countries Time
Countries Time is an independent world clock and time zone comparator built for travelers, remote teams, and anyone who coordinates schedules across borders. We focus on clarity: one correct instant, shown in every relevant local time.
Our mission
We want checking the time in another country to take seconds, not mental arithmetic. The site combines live clocks, searchable country pages, and a synchronized comparator so you can move from curiosity to a concrete meeting time without friction.
Who it is for
Freelancers scheduling client calls abroad, families staying in touch across continents, recruiters coordinating interviews, and frequent travelers checking layover windows—all without sign-up or installed software.
Data sources
Time conversions rely on IANA time zone identifiers and the zoneinfo rule set (tz database). Country metadata such as capitals and default zones is curated in our repository and updated as administrative boundaries or offsets change.
How we calculate time
Internally we hold an absolute UTC instant and project it to each selected zone using the rules valid at that moment. That includes daylight saving transitions, multi-zone countries, and regional exceptions such as zones that never observe DST.
Limitations
We do not provide legally certified timestamps. During the exact hour when a region changes clocks, brief discrepancies can appear until all systems apply the new offset. For aviation, billing, or compliance, confirm with official sources.
